HSE Signs Academic Exchange Agreement with University of Groningen
The Higher School of Economics has signed a cooperation agreement on exchange programmes for students and lecturers at the Faculty of Computer Science and the Faculty of Mathematics with the University of Groningen.
Under the agreement, students at HSE faculties and the University of Groningen’s Faculty of Science and Engineering will be able to study for a semester in their partner university as part of an exchange programme. Lecturers will also take part in the academic mobility programme, with the duration of their visits determined on a case-by-case basis.
The University of Groningen is one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in the Netherlands. It was founded in 1614, and since then more than 120 000 students have graduated from it. The Times Higher Education ranking gives the University of Groningen 80th place, while in the QS ranking it is in the top 120 best universities worldwide.

On September 21st the Russian Government Grant Council announced the names of the winners of the second open competition for Russian Government grants for state support of scientific research conducted under the supervision of leading scientists in Russian universities. Among the 39 winners were two applications from the Higher School of Economics.
