Nargiz Mammadova, from Azerbaijan, is a 2022 graduate of the Economics: Research Programme and a finalist of the Global Essay Competition in St. Gallen. As she prepares to start her Master of Public Administration in International Development programme at Harvard in August 2023, Nargiz reflects on her time studying at HSE University during the COVID-19 pandemic, talks about her work for the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan, and shares an important message for future students.

Wenrui Zhang, from China, is a recent graduate of theMaster’s in Economics and Economic Policy at the HSE UniversityFaculty of Economic Sciences. Having successfully defended his master’s thesis on the impact of COVID-19 on the incomes of vulnerable groups, Wenrui has set his sights on publishing his research and enrolling in adoctoral programme at the university. Armine Abrahamyan on Exchange Studies at HSE University-St Petersburg
Armine Abrahamyan studies philosophy at the Russian-Armenian University in Yerevan. She came to St Petersburg under the mobility programme to expand her horizons and live up to her motto of 'never limit yourself'. This aspiration for new knowledge and experiences led her to HSE University-St Petersburg. Armine shared her impressions of the university and explained how studies in Russia and Armenia are different.

Jean-Francois Jabir is an assistant professor at the HSE University Department of Statistics and Data Analysis and a senior research fellow at the Laboratory of Stochastic Analysis and its Applications (LSA). Ugo Cavitte, a 22-year-old student from the north of France, is currently in his second year of studying for a Master's degree in Pedagogy at the HSE Institute of Education.
