As part of the ‘Digital Professors’ programme, HSE University invites international lecturers to work with students remotely. One of the programme’s participants is Dr Pierre Andrieu, lecturer at the Paris Institute of Political Studies (Sciences Po). At HSE University, he taught the elective courses ‘EU in the World’ and ‘New Challenges and Threats’ in 2021–2022. The HSE's Master of Data Science programme reached the final of the Digital Learning 2022 Award in the online programmes category, as well as winning the audience award. HSE was the only university to reach the final. Nominees from the world of business competed side by side with the first English-language master's programme in Russia implemented entirely online.

On October 26–28, the HSE University eLearning Office held the fifth U4Uonline intensive course for networking partner universities. HSE University has been creating large-scale open online courses since 2014. The university is also a co-founder of the Open Education national platform, includes online courses in its curricula, guides students through the digital learning process, and carries out quality monitoring and evaluation procedures.
HSE University Opens Up Its Online Courses to Students and Staff
From October 24, students and staff of HSE University have free access to the university’s 200+ online courses through the SmartLMS system without the use of practical or assessment materials. The courses cover a wide range of topics, including film studies, psychology, machine learning, and game theory.

Applications for Online Master of Finance Open Until September 20
The application deadline for the HSE Banking Institute’s online, English-taught Master of Finance programme has been extended to September 20. The programme attracts students from Russia, Ukraine, China, South Korea, Serbia, Germany, the US, Kazakhstan, and others.
ICEF Holds Summer Bridge School in Financial Economics
The ICEF Summer Bridge School prepares students from various countries and universities for their master’s studies. It is a short-term summer programme for students of bachelor’s and master’s programmes who are planning to apply to the Master’s in Financial Economics at ICEF and similar master’s programmes at other universities in the coming year. The participants of this year’s School included students from Uzbekistan, Russia, Ghana, Azerbaijan, Italy, Armenia, Nigeria, China, Turkey, and others.
