HSE University-St Petersburg Opens Representative Office in India
HSE University-St Petersburg is opening a foreign representative office in India in collaboration with Swami Vivekanand Subharti University. On December 7, the universities agreed to sign a memorandum of understanding, having reached all the preliminary agreements in November.
'You Should Not Pretend, But Be a Good Specialist'
Anatolie Cecalenco was born in the Republic of Moldova and entered the Bachelor's programme 'Political Science' at HSE University. Then, he continued his education on the Master's programme 'Business and Politics in Modern Asia' at HSE University-St Petersburg. Currently, Anatolie is a PhD student and a lecturer at the campus. He also works as an ESG specialist for the company Business Solutions and Technology (which formerly operated in Russia as Deloitte). We talked to the PhD student about his studies and work.

HSE University-St Petersburg’s Big Graduation Returns
On July 1, more than 1,500 newly qualified bachelor’s and master’s graduates of HSE University-St Petersburg celebrated with their mentors at the campus’s traditional joint graduation ceremony. The event was an especially major personal event for one graduate, who received a marriage proposal during the ceremony.
Helping the Homeless with AI Technology
A research team from the HSE University Artificial Intelligence Centre led by Ivan Yamshchikov has developed a model to predict the success of efforts to rehabilitate homeless people. The model can predict the effectiveness of the work of organisations for the homeless with about 80% accuracy. The project was presented at a conference dedicated to the activities of social centres.
Summer School of Design to Be Held in St Petersburg
The HSE Art and Design School in St Petersburg is launching the Summer School of Design, a new urban educational project for those interested in design and visual art. The school, which is organised with support from the government of St Petersburg, will be held online on July 4–10 and will offer first-level courses in seven design disciplines.
