American Practices for Russian Innovations

In early June a HSE delegation visited the University of Texas at Austin and the University of Arizona, Tucson. The host universities are partners of the HSE in the Innovative Infrastructure Development Programme.

Up: A Week in a ‘Lift’ With Nobel Laureate

Last week Eric Maskin, Nobel laureate in economics, Professor at the Institute for Advanced Study, Princeton University (USA), Chief Research Fellow at the HSE International Laboratory of Decision Choice and Analysis, participated in the work of the International Advisory Committee for the HSE Development Programme and made a presentation at a conference dedicated to V.M. Visit of the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the HSE

Development of the University: Evaluations by IAC Members

On May 30th a meeting of the International Advisory Committee of the HSE Development Programme took place at the HSE. The committee was formed in early 2010 and this was its first full assembly.

Microsoft: Computing Transformed

On May 23rd Craig Mundie, Chief Technical Officer of Microsoft, spoke at the HSE Faculty of Business Informatics. The title of the lecture was ‘More Like Us: Computing Transformed’. The event was organized by the Higher School of Economics together with Skolkovo Open University and Microsoft Company.

On March 25th a meeting of the HSE Academic Council took place, where a new Faculty of Philology was officially established, and other organizational solutions were approved.
